A collection of clear fluid under the skin near the surgical site that can be caused by the release of fluid from muscle or other tissues near the parotid gland. It can occur several days after surgery and will generally be resorbed by the body over time.
A seroma may require medical attention or drainage depending on the size and severity of the condition.
